June 2009 - We exhibited at The Allergy Show at Olympia on 12th -14th June 2009. The Allergy Show is for people with asthma, eczema, sensitive skin, hayfever, food intolerance and allergies as well as parents of children with these conditions.
March 2009 - Lorraine supported an event organised by the East Berkshire branch of Coeliac UK, where she displayed allergy-free ingredients and talked to members about cooking without gluten. Some of her famous gluten-free Chocolate Muffins and "Snake Biscuits" were enjoyed by the participants!
October 2008 - Lorraine took part in a radio phone-in with Anne Diamond on BBC Radio Berkshire for National Baking week, speaking about the importance of involving children in home baking activities to get them interested in good food.
July 2008 - Lorraine ran the Race for Life in Prospect Park, Reading, raising another £300 for Cancer Research UK.
March 2008 - Lorraine teamed up with nutritional therapist Laura de la Harpe to give an informative talk about Coeliac Disease, Food Allergy and Intolerance to members of the West Berkshire branch of Coeliac UK. The talk, which took place at the Burdwood Community Centre in Thatcham was followed by a lively question and answer session. After some light refreshments, which included the Allergycooks' wheat egg and dairy-free Shortbread biscuits and Chocolate Chip Muffins, there was a wide range of free-from freebies for people to take home (see photos below).
January 2008 - The Reading Evening Post published a "First Person" article about Lorraine and Allergycooks.
January 2008 - Lorraine supported National Food Allergy & Intolerance Week at an event held at Borders Bookshop in Newbury (see photos below).
November 2007 - Lorraine joined Richard Skinner on BBC Radio Berkshire's Wellbeing Show to discuss the trials and benefits of "cooking without".
October 2007 - Lorraine was the after-dinner speaker at the NRG Business Networking event at Wokefield Park. She gave a talk about the differences between food allergy and intolerance and some of the things people should look out for when cooking for people who need to avoid various food groups (see photo below).
July 2007 - Lorraine and her daughter took part in the Race for Life in Prospect Park, Reading, raising £200 for Cancer Research UK.
May 2007 - The Allergycooks website was launched. Our Business Profile was published in the Reading Evening Post.
